Founded
1993
Het Nederlands Filmfonds ontstond in 1993 uit de fusie van het Productiefonds voor Nederlandse Films (1956) en het Fonds voor de Nederlandse Film. Het ZBO financiert de ontwikkeling, productie en distributie van Nederlandse speelfilms, documentaires en animatie.

Het Nederlands Filmfonds stimuleert filmproductie in Nederland en draagt bij aan onder meer speelfilms, documentaires, animaties en artistieke lange films. Jaarlijks verdeelt het fonds circa 60 miljoen euro via regelingen voor ontwikkeling, productie en distributie, inclusief de Netherlands Film Production Incentive. Het fonds bevordert ook talentontwikkeling, filmeducatie en internationale coproducties.
