Founded
1923
De Bloembollenkeuringsdienst (BKD) werd in 1923 opgericht als keuringsdienst voor bloembolgewassen. De stichting is ZBO onder de Landbouwkwaliteitswet en keurt bloembolgewassen op rasechtheid en gezondheid.

De Stichting Bloembollenkeuringsdienst (BKD) is het ZBO dat keurt en certificeert bloembollen en bolbloemen op kwaliteit, gezondheid en rasidentiteit conform EU-richtlijnen en de Plantgezondheidswet. Jaarlijks inspecteert de BKD duizenden hectares velden en miljoenen partijen exportbollen, met name in Noord-Holland en Flevoland. De BKD is ook aangewezen als officiële autoriteit voor fytosanitaire exportcertificaten voor bloembollen.
